Chairman of the Board of the International Education Center, Anders Folk, announced today that the IEC Board of Directors has granted a request from its Executive Director, David Gaither, for an unpaid leave of absence, effective immediately and lasting through early November. During this period, Mr. Gaither will serve as campaign manager for Jeff Johnson’s gubernatorial bid in Minnesota.
“David has been invited to fulfill a brief unique role in our state’s civic affairs and given his capable service to IEC, the board was pleased to accommodate his request” Folk said. “We look forward to David’s return to his IEC duties immediately following the election.”
IEC’s Program Coordinator in consultation with the Board of Directors will assume oversight of the organization during Mr. Gaither’s leave of absence.
